Description

  • Our H1-2531-K heating control with a manual reset 15° over-temperature cut-out and pilot light which has a temperature range of 60°-250°F, and is rated for 120 to 480VAC. (Note the default pilot light has a MAX. 277VAC rating - if you are using the control's pilot light above 277VAC, please contact us before purchasing.)  See chart below for non-inductive Amperage ratings.

  • Capillary & Sensing Bulb: This H1-2531-K control has a copper 36" (±1") capillary with a 3/8" DIA. x 3-29/32" (±1") long sensing bulb. This control has a maximum temperature differential of ±11°.

  • Manual-Reset Thermal Cut-Out: breaks circuit when temperature reaches 15° above set temperature for safety.
  • Application: This non-programmable, snap-acting, mechanical Double Pole, Single Throw (DPST) thermostat with a manual-reset over-temperature cut-out is for heating control only. (This will not work for cooling applications.)

  • Our H1-2531K Control May Be Wired Two Ways:
    • DPST Wiring with SPST over-temperature cut-out; normally closed.  It must be reset manually.
    • SPST Wiring with SPST over-temperature cut-out; normally closed.  it must be reset manually.
  • Dial & Mounting: Includes Red 60°-250°F Dial and Hardware Kit With Screws For Mounting.
  • Usage: These controls are commonly used in tanks, ovens, cleaning baths, and many other applications and automatically turn off heating equipment when the set temperature is reached and where over-temperature cut-out protection is desirable.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If load amperage or voltage exceeds the switch rating, a magnetic contactor must be used.

    Pilot Light:

    • The default pilot light is rated up to 277VAC.  If you are using the control for voltages above 277VAC, then the pilot light will need to be upgraded - Please contact us at customer.service@thermcoil.com or 1-724-872-5007 to order the upgrade!

    Technical Information

    • Switch Type: DPST (double pole, single throw). A DPST switch turns up to two independent circuits on or off.
    • Switch Action: Normally Closed Contacts Open on Temperature Rise Only.
    • Cut-Out Type: SPST (single pole, single throw). A SPST switch turns a single circuit on or off.
    • Cut-out Reset Type: Manual Rest Button.
    • Cut-Out Temperature: 15° Above Set Temperature.
    • Thermostat Voltage: 120 to 480VAC
    • Non-Inductive Amperage Rating: See chart below.
    • Minimum Amperage Required: 5 Amps  (When below 5 Amps, the thermostat will not be able to maintain desired temperature reliably, or at all, and may fluctuate wildly in differential.)
    • Temperature Control Range: 60°F to 250°F
    • Maximum Temperature Differential: 11°
    • Capillary Length: 36" (±1")
    • Sensing Bulb Diameter: 3/8"
    • Sensing Bulb Length: 3-29/32" (±1")
    • Capillary and Sensing Bulb Material: Copper
    • Thermostat Height x Width: 4-3/32" x 3-1/16"
    • U.L. Listed and C.S.A. Certified.
